The Return of Courage the Cowardly Dog?

The show that brought you your first piss your pants moments of fear from a TV show, Courage the Cowardly Dog is the Oscar Nominated modern classic from Cartoon Network. It had a good run from it's 1999 premiere to the heart warming series end in 2002, accumulating over 100 aired segments.

So as one of the most beloved cartoons of the Cartoon Network renaissance, it honestly would make sense that it would receive some sort of modern nod or reboot, right? Especially considering the Powerpuff Girls has had not one, but two specials already. Well now it looks like Courage has risen from the dead.

Top 10 most annoying cartoon characters

The intent of writing characters for a series is usually to make them fun, sarcastic, broken, funny, heroic, something seen as a good quality we can all rally behind and relate to. Unfortunately though, there are instances where the attempt at making one of these characters backfires terribly. Then we are left with loud, obnoxious, self-centered cardboard cut out douchebags that make you want to pull out a Magnum and blast your TV screen. We thought we'd share some of these characters with you.

Pokemon The Anime Series And How It Progressed

Everyone knows what Pokemon is because it resonates deep inside us as a nostalgic piece of our hearts and for me personally will always be one of my favorite franchises ranging from the show to the games and even the manga.

Does Frozen deserve the hype?

Recently becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time (with out inflation adjustments), as well as the ninth grossing film period, Frozen has pretty much become a cultural phenomenon and a new Disney staple. It's won a Golden Globe, Oscars, Annie Awards, and tons of other awards I'm sure we're missing. And at this time, there's even talk of it's franchise power, so it's unlikely to go away.

So it's funny with things just settling down and the number of "Let it Go" remakes uploaded to YouTube finally slowing, that I'm finally hearing a really awkward question after all the hype. Does Frozen deserve the hype?

Film Review: The Secret of Kells

Other than autismal CN shill-outs, I think we ought to move on to more better animated and much more entertaining animations.

Yes, this beautifully animated piece by Cartoon Saloon, an animation film studio based in Ireland. Written and directed by Tom Moore. The Secret of Kells focuses on a fictional telling of the creation of the Book of Kells (c. 800), an illuminated manuscript in Latin, located in Dublin, Ireland.

Cartoon Review: "Clarence"

For our first and more than likely last review considering how terrible this site is already, Critics 2D is taking a look at Cartoon Network's latest attempt to not fuck up their brand name, "Clarence".

So what was the verdict? Well, the answer might just surprise you.
